L'Attraction Céleste

L’Attraction Céleste was founded in 2006 by two artists, Servane Guittier and Antoine Manceau. 

It is based at Auch, in the South-West of France.

 

Multidisciplinary artists, Servane and Antoine use various arts (music, movement, clown, cinema … ) to create original performances, with the purpose of creating a very intimistic relationship to the audience. 

The scenography is always circular, base of the circus and base of the gathering, to make the performance become a moment of sharing, of "vivre-ensemble" (living-together).

 

The subject of the performances is humanity, singularity : after a poetical evocation of disability and difference with Dans mes bras (In my arms) created in 2007, the artistic work, always musical, is pointed till 2010 towards the art of clown, with Bibeu and Humphrey created in 2011 and Bobines, created in May 2016.

For L'Empreinte (The Imprint), creation 2022, Servane Guittier and Antoine Manceau pursue their duet artwork, puting aside their clown nose, dealing with the theme of memory and its troubles.

 

In 2022, the creation of a light form allows the clowns Bibeu and Humphrey to invest little cultural places (associative bars, media center, homestays,…).

Between the cine-concert and the diapo evening, we like to say that Bibeu and Humphrey are inviting themselves to your place !

In 2025, a pure musical form finds its place in the adventures of L’Attraction Céleste, inviting the bass saxophonist Marc Maffiolo, it is The concert.

Also in 2025, a research begins on the conviviability of a meal, named Sensitive banquet.

Different periods of research and experimentations will refine the purpose. To be followed !

 

In parallel with the shows, L’Attraction Céleste likes to propose some irruptions in places not specifically dedicated to culture, as a living-room, a bus, a classroom or an hospital room,…

When the clowns are playing, we say that Bibeu and Humphrey are inviting themselves…

When the musicians are playing, we simply call it Impromptus.

 

L’Attraction Céleste is in companionship with Circa, Pôle National des Arts du Cirque à Auch (avec lien vers page compagnonnage sur site Circa) from 2024 to 2026.

Both structures are weaving an artistic and human complicity, through diffusion on the territory, artistic labs, cultural action, correspondence, brain-storming and other sharing. A beautiful adventure, in short.

 

 

L'Attraction Céleste, it’s almost 800 representations, in France and in foreign countries - Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Norway, Peru, Chili, Argentina…
